Cameron graduated from University of New Mexico where he earned a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science. On the court he earned All-American honors his senior season after arriving at New Mexico as a two-star recruit. His experiences and connections provide a strong understanding of the current collegiate landscape and the opportunities now presented to student athletes through name, image and likeness (NIL).
Jonathon is a former collegiate and professional basketball player who competed across Europe and Australia. During his career, he built valuable connections, giving his clients access to some of the most prominent organizations in the NIL and collective space. His deep knowledge of the market allows him to offer expert scouting, helping Rise negotiate tailored deals based on clients’ specific talents and potential.
Jonathon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from New Mexico Highlands University, finishing on the Dean’s List for his academic excellence. On the court, he was a NCAA First Team All-Conference player in his final two seasons. His wealth of knowledge about transitioning from college to international leagues, along with his understanding of the unique styles of play, helps guide athletes through their professional journeys with confidence and success.
At just 24 years old, Alec Small has quickly established himself as a standout leader in the world of NIL marketing. As Head of NIL and Women’s Basketball at Rise Sports Management, Alec brings a rare combination of business acumen, basketball insight, and client-first mentality that has rapidly elevated both his personal brand and the agency’s national presence.
Alec’s journey in sports marketing began with an internship at a family friend’s agency, where he discovered a deep passion for athlete representation. Since then, he has partnered with former NBA player Cameron Bairstow and built his approach around a singular mission: putting athletes first.
Drawing from his own experience as a high school basketball player, including competing for a Long Island championship and training under renowned NBA trainer Jerry Powell, Alec offers unique on-court perspective that enables him to support his clients comprehensively, both athletically and professionally.
Since joining RISE in September 2023, Alec has been instrumental in the agency’s growth, working with some of the most prominent female athlete creators across multiple sports including track and field, soccer, and gymnastics. In December 2024, he launched Rise’s Women’s Basketball Division, which now represents top collegiate stars at powerhouse programs such as North Carolina, Michigan, Alabama, Louisville, Illinois, and others.
What truly sets Alec apart is his relentless work ethic, authentic client relationships, and unwavering commitment to excellence. His dedication to helping athletes thrive both on and off the court has quickly positioned him as one of the most promising and respected young agents in college sports.
After earning his degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2020, Ben launched his career in Influencer Marketing. He spent three years on the brand side at a leading global agency, managing high-impact campaigns worth six and seven figures for a variety of well-known brands.
Driven by a desire to work more closely with talent, Ben transitioned to the representation side, joining a top talent management firm where he focused on influencers in the sports space across the U.S. There, he developed a passion for building meaningful relationships and supporting long-term career growth—not just through brand deals, but also by helping clients grow their platforms and personal brands organically.
Ben’s deep love for sports and his expertise in influencer marketing led him to Rise, where he now serves as a Talent Manager for our NIL athletes. He plays a key role in securing major brand partnerships and supporting athletes in their content creation efforts. With a player-first mindset, strong industry knowledge, and a proven track record, Ben is dedicated to helping Rise athletes succeed both on and off the field.
